Linking with the Department for Business & Trade and Office for Health Improvement & Disparity
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
The Get South Midlands Working approach recognises that ‘Good Work’ is a positive public health outcome, the partnership will support the aspirations of the NHS Long Term Plan 2025, with a focus on early intervention, prevention and neighbourhood working.
We will also work in collaboration Central Government through the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department of Health, incorporating the Office for Health Improvement and Disparity (OHID):
OUR
PURPOSE
Our purpose is to work with our residents, employers and partners to support good working lives and equity within our communities. We will look at scaling up existing solutions and developing fresh solutions to supporting residents in work, health, and skills development. Together we will build on what is strong and address what is wrong.
By linking communities themselves, health, work, skills, business, the voluntary and community sector and social care, we intend to deliver comprehensive, place-based approach that empowers individuals, supports local economies, and creates long-term positive outcomes.
